Just finished a tour of Hawkstone Brewery at Bourton on the water. We have tried so many samples it’s a good job we left the car at the hotel and walked here. We loved all of them including the vodka. Our guide Sion was very friendly and informative, and very generous with the samples. We did a tour of the Estrella factory in Spain last year and, although it was very slick, the Hawkstone version was really authentic and very positively angled to support British farming.

We had a fantastic day at Shawsgate Vineyard. The tour was extremely informative and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch consisted of cheese, ham, salad and bread with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. There was no choice, but the food was good. The wine tasting involved quite a lot of wine, and we were able to choose a glass of our favourite for lunch - something to consider if you are driving! I would highly recommend this!

Although the actual tour was cancelled due to illness we still had the wine tasting. We were given a talk about the different grapes they use and how the wine is made. During the talk, by a very knowlegable gentleman, we were given a glass of sparkling rose wine then we had the tasting, a dry rose, a white and a red. They were very nice. We had a very nice time.

Took my husband to the Chocolate Cocktail Club, for his birthday. Had a lovely time, particularly as he is s chocoholic, it was something very different. Small, intimate place and nice atmosphere.

what a christmas present! We visited the Vineyard in May and we had a brilliant time,it’s unbelievable how fruitful vines can be grown in Holmfirth. The Tour was excellent, explaining all the problems that have to be overcome and the wine production process in laymen’s terms. The wine sampling was spot on and afterwards we had an excellent afternoon tea with the most fabulous views. This Experience was 5 Stars ??

An interesting talk about the vineyard history followed by a wine tasting session was very good. The guide, one of the owners, was very informative and friendly. The afternoon tea that followed was very nice.
