Afternoon Tea in Kent

I took my mum to afternoon tea for her birthday and we loved it. Great drinks, food and service!

The Tea room is quaint well set out. There is a garden area where in the summer months one could sit outside. It was a little wet the day we went. The staff were attentive and it was lovely to be able to order the sandwich filling on the day. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious. Choice of cake from the board and Scones. I had bought it as a Christmas gift for a friend and she absolutely loved it. She would like to go again. We were also able to take our cake home packed in a lovely box, we were too full to eat it there.

Beautiful historic building and grounds. Because we had our small Pug dog with us we had to sit in the bar rather than the restaurant, which was not a problem, the bar was very pleasant. We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco and shortly afterwards a nicely prepared afternoon tea. There was a good variety of sandwiches and cakes, all very fresh and plentiful. An enjoyable afternoon tea was enjoyed by both of us, however, a slightly poor level of service was experienced. An excellent product was let down by nobody asking if we needed anything or if everything was okay, this was despite members of staff constantly coming and going to and from the room.

Huge variety of gifts to choose from. Easy to follow instructions. SOmetimes some offers can catch you out in terms of booking initial voucher then having to pay substantially more for a specific date/tour etc so I would recemmned you to read all details and find out inforamtion via emails/phone calls before purchasing anything. Other than that, the process and events are outstanding.

What a lovely little place with only about 8 tables but good choice of sandwiches and beautiful homemade cakes and scones. My only suggestion was that if you want a second drink you have to pay for it separately as additional tea etc is not part of the voucher like most afternoon teas.

Our afternoon tea was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Will certainly be visiting again soon.

Very enjoyable tea, asked for more sandwiches than cakes , the fillings were really lovely also requested just cheese for my fussy husband and this was also undertaken. All requests were carried out with ease. Would recommend.
