A very tasty treat

Although the actual tour was cancelled due to illness we still had the wine tasting. We were given a talk about the different grapes they use and how the wine is made. During the talk, by a very knowlegable gentleman, we were given a glass of sparkling rose wine then we had the tasting, a dry rose, a white and a red. They were very nice. We had a very nice time.

Excellent day out. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic day at Shawsgate Vineyard. The tour was extremely informative and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch consisted of cheese, ham, salad and bread with a delicious cheesecake for dessert. There was no choice, but the food was good. The wine tasting involved quite a lot of wine, and we were able to choose a glass of our favourite for lunch - something to consider if you are driving! I would highly recommend this!

Good information sent beforehand. The talk was extremely informative and interesting - and humorous . Wine tasting and snacks were good portions. We also had the lunch platter which was delicious. We were not pressurised into buying wine - but couldn’t resist A very good experience
