Welsh Mountain Zoo Entry and Meerkat Experience for Two

Join the zookeepers as they feed the meerkats at the Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay. You will have the chance to encounter these inquisitive creatures and find out more about them. Meerkats are very sociable and friendly, and they love to interact. Get close to these little rascals and enjoy meeting the rest of the animals at the zoo. See the beautiful big cats, meet the chickens, ducks and rabbits in the farm and watch the penguins waddle around. There is plenty to see and do at this popular zoo. Create some magical memories and make new furry friends as you bond with the adorable meerkats!

What do I need to know?

• All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
• Your voucher is valid for two people
• Available week round, year round excluding bank holiday weekends and during the Easter holidays
• The experience itself lasts for around 20–30 minutes in total
• Bookings can be made via email only – when booking in, please contact the Welsh Mountain Zoo with your booking reference number and at least four possible experience dates
• Pre-booking is required for this experience, with at least a week's notice preferable (longer for dates requested in school holidays)
• Please note that during busy periods, Animal Encounters can take up to seven working days to be processed
• Minimum age: 7 years
• Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult
• A maximum of two people may take part in each animal encounter per day and only two animal encounters (each being a different animal) are available each day, subject to keeper availability
• Pregnant women cannot take part in an animal experience without first seeking advice from their doctor and proof will be required
• Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for all weathers and for working with the animals, including trousers and closed toe shoes such as trainers, walking boots or wellingtons – the zoo reserves the right to refuse those who does not wear suitable clothing without offering a refund
• Participants will be asked to leave if they behave inappropriately or in an unsafe manner that could put themselves, staff and others or animals at risk
• A reasonable level of fitness is required to take part in all experiences
• Not suitable for those allergic to dust, animal fur or bedding
• All participants must be up to date with their tetanus vaccinations
• All dates are subject to availability
