Step back in time with your family and discover over 400 years of British naval history at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Through exhibitions, interactive galleries and hands-on sessions, there’s so much to see and do. Take a walk on the decks and discover three magnificent warships - a Victorian sloop, a WW2 Destroyer and a Cold War submarine, discovering what life on-board was really like. Visit the Victorian Ropery for a guided tour which has been producing rope used by some of the largest vessels at sea, and is the only one of the original four Royal Navy Ropeyards to still be in operation today! Discover more about the Royal Navy through an object handling session, where you’ll get hands-on with the collections from the Steam, Steel and Submarines gallery. With Chatham being the most complete dockyard of the age of sail in the world, you won’t want to miss this incredible chance to visit it with all the family!
