When do we spend the most online?

£1 in every £4 is now spent online. This meteoric rise of ecommerce has seen Great Britain begin to adopt US shopping trends such as Black Friday (the last Friday in November) and its heavily discounted sales. In 2014, Black Friday superceeded Boxing Day (historically the busiest retail day in GB) with the most money being spent online in history, with sales of £810m.

Gift sales echo these online trends, with Black Friday, Cyber Monday (the Monday after Black Friday) and Manic Monday (the second Monday in December) now becoming the most popular sales days of the year:
